Market Manager (Grocery & Cafe' Concept)

Position Type:

Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, hands-on Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team. This dual-role position requires a dynamic leader who can drive exceptional customer service, maintain high visual merchandising standards, lead a diverse team of grocery store and food service staff, while ensuring seamless crossover between our market offerings and Cafe' operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, grocery store and food service management experience, and a passion for hospitality excellence Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Staff Management Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise FOH staff, including cashiers, service attendants, Baristas, Stock personnel, and janitorial staff. Foster a positive, collaborative, and fast-paced team culture across both grocery and food service business components. Conduct regular training on customer service standards, product knowledge, and safety/sanitation protocols. Evaluate staff performance, provide ongoing feedback, and manage conflict resolution. Assist with food production coordination, register duties, coffee bar support, stocking and any other duties needed to create a superior guest experience. Guest Experience & Operations Maintain a visible presence on the floor, actively greeting guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Manage daily floor flow, maintaining dining and grocery components while executing smooth line management at guest registers. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, food handling, and sanitation guidelines throughout the market and cafe' spaces. Oversee Point-of-Sale (POS) operations including back office managerial requirements, cash handling procedures, and daily register reconciliation. Merchandising & Inventory Control Collaborate with the team to maintain attractive product displays, clean shelves, and fully stocked grocery areas. Monitor product rotation (FIFO) and shelf-life in both retail and cafe' operations, minimizing waste in fresh and prepared food sections. Assist in inventory counts, loss prevention management, and stock reordering for grocery items and FOH supplies. Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost control.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

5+ years of management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail grocery settings (hybrid concept experience strongly preferred).

Certifications:

Valid Food Handlers /

ServSafe Manager Certification Skills:

Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic inventory/ordering tools.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
