The Marketing Intelligence & Operations Manager leads Southwood's marketing technology, data analysis, digital channels, and website management. The primary goal is to drive retail store foot traffic and generate high-value leads for our landscape team through data-driven campaigns and automated marketing systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data, Analytics & Reporting Track and report on Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and retail foot traffic trends. Analyze POS purchase data to identify sales trends and underperforming inventory. Maintain an Open to Buy document for buyers and provide feedback based on sales and industry trends. Oversee the customer loyalty program to increase data capture rates and segment high-value buyers. Digital Infrastructure & Website Management Manage the website (WordPress/WooCommerce), keeping online products, pricing, and the landscape portfolio up to date. Maintain technical integrations between the website, POS (Counterpoint), and CRM/email automation systems. Manage Local SEO and Google Business Profiles to drive local Tulsa search traffic. Lead Generation & Campaign Execution Build and manage paid digital ad campaigns (Google Ads, Meta) targeting retail shoppers and high-ticket landscape clients. Review the landscape CRM pipeline, monitoring lead response times and quote conversion rates. Analyze historical campaign performance, customer behavior data, and seasonal trends to provide precise direction for email and ad campaign messaging, themes, and offers. MarTech Evaluation, Implementation & Integration Partner with the communications team to establish automated workflows, API integrations, and tracking protocols that pull customer support interactions, chat logs, and messaging data from Freshdesk, Textline, and other engagement channels directly into the central CRM/POS database. Audit, evaluate, and manage the complete MarTech stack—connecting POS (Counterpoint), WooCommerce, CRM, communication platforms, and automation tools to remove data silos and build unified customer profiles. Maintain tracking pixel configurations, data hygiene, and privacy compliance across all digital touchpoints and communication logs. Scope, select, and roll out new marketing platforms, tracking software, and automation tools to increase operational efficiency. This will include AI-driven tools and workflows to enhance customer predictive modeling, personalize email/SMS targeting, automate basic content workflows, and optimize ad targeting. Strategy & Team Management Develop a unified marketing calendar aligning retail seasonality with landscape sales cycles. Manage the multi-channel marketing budget and pitch new growth opportunities. Help prioritize workflow for the Graphic Designer and Content Creator to ensure timely asset delivery.
Monthly Qualified Lead Volume, Lead-to-Quote Conversion, Average Deal Size.
Cross-Over:
Conversion rate of Retail Loyalty Members into Landscape Clients and Retail purchases by Landscape Customers.
MarTech:
Loyalty Data Penetration Rate, Database Growth & Hygiene.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
5+ years in marketing management, marketing operations, or growth analytics. Retail or service business experience preferred.
Technical & Programming Skills:
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or API integration. Solid understanding of SQL, platform APIs, and database architecture.
Paid Media:
Proven success managing Google Search/Local and Meta ad budgets for lead generation.
Core Strengths:
Strong project management, data-driven mindset, and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, MIS, Business, or related field.
Market Knowledge:
Familiarity with the local Tulsa market and seasonal buying patterns. An interest in horticulture is a plus.
