Job Description

Mission of the Personal Lines Producer The Personal Lines Producer is responsible for achieving sales targets and effectively managing client relationships. Through proactive communication with potential and existing clients you will grow the agency's book of business, ensuring client needs are met with the highest standards of service. This will include calling on lost business, unsold quotes and monoline business for account rounding. This role is the face of our agency for existing customers as well as to agency prospects. Key Responsibilities of This Role New Business Development & Sales Execution Rotate and respond to incoming leads from calls, walk-ins, web forms, and marketing campaigns. Conduct outbound calls to generate new leads and re-engage unsold quotes, monoline accounts, and lost business. Prequalify prospects for insurability and risk quality; gather required underwriting info, bind coverage, and finalize sales. Present tailored proposals aligned with agency goals and carrier appetite. Follow the agency sales process to maintain a closing ratio of 50%+ and achieve a monthly sales target of $XXX,XXX in new premium. Conduct 5-6 diligent follow-up calls post-quote to maximize conversion. Maintain a target of at least 70% multiline accounts through effective account rounding. Client Engagement, Retention & Cross-Selling Actively engage clients to build trust and understand coverage needs through strategic conversations. Conduct policy reviews and proactively offer additional coverage options (e.g., umbrellas, bundling opportunities). Assist with renewals until your book of business supports a dedicated Account Manager. Revisit older quotes and clients nearing renewal for potential conversion. Follow up with new clients 30 days post-sale to build loyalty and request referrals. Aim to support agency retention efforts by contributing to the goal of XX% and capturing 5 new testimonials monthly. Operational Excellence & Compliance Respond to all new inbound inquiries within 5 minutes and all other requests within 24 hours. Update the agency management system and carrier portals daily with accurate activity logs, notes, and statuses. Ensure all signatures, payments, and documentation are collected and processed correctly before binding. Adhere to all carrier and agency compliance procedures for quoting, binding, and document management. Identify skill gaps and create a personal development plan in partnership with your manager to improve sales and technical knowledge. Relationship Building & Market Presence Maintain and grow relationships with clients, referral partners, and local influencers (e.g., realtors, lenders, CPAs). Actively build your local presence and personal brand to drive organic referral activity. Regularly request and share client referrals and testimonials. Participate in community-based branding opportunities and represent the agency professionally at all times. Marketing & Internal Collaboration Collaborate with the marketing team by suggesting blog, email, and social content ideas based on client interactions. Share agency content on your personal and professional social channels. Participate in branding activities, such as team photos or campaigns, as invited. Partner with the marketing team on lead conversion campaigns and provide feedback on lead quality and messaging. Professionalism & Continuous Improvement Maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude and foster strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. Embrace technology and process improvements to increase efficiency and minimize distractions. Contribute to a team-first culture and adapt to evolving agency needs as directed by your manager. $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
