Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Communications Assistant for a contract position in Chattanooga, TN. The Communications Assistant provides day-to-day support to the Communications team in creating and sharing messages with both internal and external audiences. This position helps prepare written and visual materials, assists with community events, and ensures communication projects run smoothly and on schedule.
Schedule:
M-F 8am-4pm
Rate:
$18.80hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Help plan, prepare, and distribute internal and external communications.

Assist in creating basic visual content such as graphics, presentations, and flyers.

Draft and proofread simple written materials, including emails, social media posts, and newsletters.

Support the organization and coordination of community outreach and special events.

Maintain organized files and assist with preparing reports and tracking communication activities.

Provide general administrative support to the Communications team.

Administrative SupportPerform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and work well as part of a team.

Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using design tools such as Canva or Adobe Express (helpful but not required).Previous experience supporting office, marketing, or event coordination tasks is a plus.
