Chart Industries Ensuring Chart's Success… The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, profitability, and lifecycle management of assigned water treatment and water technology product lines. This role will drive product strategy, roadmap development, market expansion, pricing, profitability, customer engagement, and cross-functional execution to ensure sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, customer-focused leader with exceptional communication and collaboration skills. This individual will work closely with customers, sales teams, engineering, operations, service, suppliers, and business leadership to develop innovative solutions that address water treatment challenges while creating value for customers and Chart Water. The successful Product Manager must possess strong business acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing strategic planning and day-to-day operational requirements. What Will You Do? Own the overall product line strategy, revenue growth, profitability, and market performance. Develop growth strategies for municipal, industrial, commercial, and specialty water treatment markets. Support customers in addressing regulatory compliance requirements related to drinking water quality, wastewater discharge, environmental regulations, and water reuse standards. Partner with the commercial team to drive product awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Develop and maintain long-term strategic plans for assigned product lines.
Identify opportunities for product enhancements, service offerings, and portfolio expansion. Conduct market research to evaluate emerging technologies, customer needs, and competitive dynamics within the water treatment industry. Serve as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Occasional visits to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and industry events. Your Experience Should Be… Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and applications including filtration, membrane separation, reverse osmosis, desalination, wastewater treatment, biological treatment, clarification, chemical dosing, and disinfection technologies. Experience with industrial water systems serving sectors such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, power generation, semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, mining, chemical processing, oil and gas, or municipal water treatment. Understanding of contaminants and treatment methods for PFAS, heavy metals, nutrients, organics, pathogens, total dissolved solids (TDS), and emerging contaminants. Familiarity with water quality parameters including pH, conductivity, turbidity, TOC, hardness, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, and microbial control. Knowledge of applicable industry regulations and standards including EPA requirements, Safe Drinking Water Act regulations, wastewater discharge permits, NSF standards, and other water industry guidelines. Ability to translate customer treatment requirements into product development opportunities and commercial solutions. Proven experience conducting competitive market analysis and identifying opportunities within potable water, industrial water, wastewater, reuse, and desalination markets. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, engineering, process design, business development, or commercial leadership within the water treatment industry. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Water Resources, or a related field required.
MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
