Job Description
The Education Lending Products team is responsible for the strategy, growth, profitability, and member experience of Navy Federal's Education Lending portfolio. The team identifies market opportunities, develops product enhancements, manages the product roadmap, and partners across analytics, operations, marketing, compliance, and technology to deliver business results. Using data-driven insights and competitive analysis, the team drives initiatives that improve portfolio performance, member acquisition, retention, and satisfaction. The team also leads strategic planning, business case development, and execution of key initiatives that ensure Education Lending products remain competitive and aligned with member needs and organizational objectives. The Summer Associate will have the opportunity to develop a business case and strategic recommendation for expanding Navy Federal's Education Lending product offerings through the introduction of new student loan offerings for trade schools, certificate programs, or parent borrowers - including market opportunity, financial impact, competitive positioning, and implementation considerations. The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later. Currently pursuing a graduate degree Experience creating presentations, business cases, reports, or recommendations for leadership audiences Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify business opportunities Curiosity and desire to learn industry trends, competitive dynamics, member needs, and product strategy concepts Ability to work independently while building effective partnerships across cross-functional teams Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and follow-through Desired Qualifications Knowledge of product development, consumer lending, financial services, or digital products preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business intelligence or reporting tools
