Senior Technical Product Manager, Modeling and Optimization

Job Description

Description Amazon's Modeling and Optimization Team is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager who is passionate about supply chain optimization. This role will lead the growth of a high impact portfolio of tech and research products in the network design space, and partner with stakeholders and customers in using those products to drive high-impact business-critical decisions. Key job responsibilities To accomplish this, we expect you to have an established background in research and development with an emphasis on transportation and logistics, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic environment. You should enjoy working on complex projects involving significant coordination between organizations, be customer-centric, and feel strongly about building the most innovative solutions to operate complex and large transportation networks. A day in the life You will regularly interact with executive leadership and work with business teams to define program strategy, roadmap, technology and execution. You work alongside our research scientists and development engineers to build tools and foundations to solve problems at hand and in the future. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. You have the technical skills to help customers define their business problem and leverage the tools the team built to drive business impact. About the team The team is responsible for optimizing the global transportation and fulfillment network for Amazon.com, spanning across all segments of supply chain. We proactive disrupt existing inefficiencies and propose new strategies that can scale with Amazon's complexity and growth.   • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
