Job Description
Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven SEO Specialist to join our growing digital marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who understands search engine optimization, keyword research, on-page SEO, local SEO, content optimization, technical website improvements, and performance tracking. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for helping improve client website rankings, organic traffic, local visibility, and overall search performance across multiple industries. This person should be organized, analytical, and comfortable managing SEO tasks for multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and able to turn SEO insights into clear action steps that help clients grow online. Responsibilities Conduct keyword research to identify high-value search opportunities for client websites. Optimize website pages, metadata, headings, internal linking, image alt text, and content structure. Perform on-page SEO updates to improve search visibility and user experience. Support local SEO strategies, including Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, service area pages, and location-based content. Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO reporting platforms. Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and other SEO performance metrics. Perform basic technical SEO audits, including site speed, indexing issues, crawl errors, broken links, redirects, and mobile usability. Collaborate with web developers, content writers, designers, and account managers to implement SEO recommendations. Create SEO content briefs and provide optimization recommendations for blogs, service pages, landing pages, and website copy. Review competitor websites and identify opportunities to improve client rankings. Prepare monthly SEO updates, reports, and performance summaries for internal teams or clients. Stay up to date with Google algorithm updates, SEO best practices, and digital marketing trends. Help manage SEO deliverables for multiple client accounts while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality. Qualifications Proven experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field. Strong understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, local SEO, and keyword research. Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and SEO tools. Ability to analyze SEO data and turn insights into actionable recommendations. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Understanding of website structure, content optimization, internal linking, and search intent. Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities at the same time. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and performance. Comfortable working with websites, content management systems, and digital marketing teams. Preferred Experience Experience working in a digital marketing agency is a plus. Experience with WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, or other website platforms is a plus. Familiarity with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, BrightLocal, or similar SEO platforms is preferred. Experience optimizing Google Business Profiles for local businesses. Basic understanding of HTML, website speed, schema markup, and technical website structure is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
