Job Description
Description We are looking for a creative Social Media Specialist to strengthen the organization's online presence in Wilmington, Delaware. This role focuses on shaping channel-specific content, supporting campaign execution, and using performance insights to expand audience engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a talent for producing compelling visual and video-based content across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day activity across key social platforms, ensuring each channel remains current, consistent, and aligned with brand priorities.
- Plan and coordinate content calendars, then publish and monitor posts designed to support organizational initiatives and audience engagement goals.
- Produce digital assets such as graphics, short videos, and visual content using creative design tools to enhance campaign performance.
- Contribute to the rollout of both sponsored and organic social efforts, helping refine targeting, messaging, and overall effectiveness.
- Tailor copy, visuals, and posting approaches to match the expectations and best practices of each social media platform.
- Measure results through analytics tools and platform reporting, then summarize findings to highlight trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to surface meaningful stories, achievements, events, and insights for social promotion.
- Keep up with evolving platform features, audience behaviors, and digital marketing trends to recommend fresh ideas and stronger execution.
- Assist with creating and editing video content that supports brand visibility, thought leadership, and campaign objectives.
- Use engagement and performance data to suggest practical adjustments that improve reach, community growth, and content impact. Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage content across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and similar channels.
- Hands-on experience with creative and publishing tools, including Canva, Adobe Express, or comparable applications.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
- Experience developing or editing short-form video content for digital or social use.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities within established deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholder groups.
- Background supporting services in regulated industries is helpful but not required.
