Full Job Description Position Description:
Responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement and organization of Fragrance raw materials, supplies, and finished products within the production facility. Ensure the efficient flow of materials to support the manufacturing process and meet production schedules.
Position Responsibilities:
Utilizing scanner/tablet, receive, inspect, and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials, such as fragrance ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies, ensuring they meet the specified requirements and quality standards. Safely and efficiently transfer fragrance raw materials from tote, barrel, drum, etc., into dispensing equipment for use by Compounder. Safely and efficiently transport materials between production areas, warehouses, and storage locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other appropriate equipment. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies to the production facilitating smooth workflow and minimizing downtime Prepare and distribute materials and supplies to production workstations, following production schedules and instructions from supervisors. Assist in packaging and labeling finished fragrance products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Perform quality checks on incoming materials packaging and finished products, reporting any non-conformities or discrepancies to supervisors and quality control personnel. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines while handling materials, including the proper storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous substances. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to material handling activities, including receiving reports, inventory logs, and material movement records. Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and properly labeled, optimizing space utilization and facilitating easy access to materials and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred. Experience
  • Previous experience in a materials handling or warehouse role is advantageous. Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking. Computer Skills
  • MS Office:
    Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Batch Metrics, Netsuite Must use a scanner to locate and store materials Other Skills
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Physical Requirements:
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus and ability to identify color variation. Ability to stand and walk in and around manufacturing throughout the shift. Ability to push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on weekends and after standard hours as required. Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing facility with strong odors and equipment present. Must be able to work in manufacturing environment with strong odors present. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Ability to work with water and chemicals/cleaning chemicals throughout shift. Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment.
