Salary:
Teacher salary schedule based on experience and degree. Salary Schedule can be found on the district website: https://www.irsd.net/departments/human-resources/salary-scales
Primary Duties:
Teaches assigned classes using the educational philosophy and policies adopted by the Board of Education. Utilizes State and District curriculum guidelines in carrying out teaching assignments. Uses available resources, plans and implements a program of study that meets students' needs, interests, and abilities. Provides a standards-based, content aligned learning framework that establishes clear goals and objectives for all lessons and assignments. Interprets and uses data from a variety of educational sources for the improvement of instruction. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides reports as required, as well as notifying parents of student progress when necessary. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Recognizes the importance of parent/guardian and teacher cooperation and confers with parents as appropriate. Collaborates with the student support team to support students' academic, behavioral and mental health needs. Maintains a professional relationship, working cooperatively with all school personnel. Meets responsibilities as per contractual agreement and State law. Participates actively in professional growth activities, collaborative groups and Professional Learning Communities (PLC). Encourages students to behave in accordance with classroom and school rules. Performs other duties as requested by administration to meet the needs of the students.
