Job Description
Job Summary VetraCore Systems is seeking an experienced Medical Emergency Manager with Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) expertise to support a Department of Defense (DoD) medical readiness program. The selected candidate will provide advisory and assistance services supporting medical emergency management policy, planning, training, and operational readiness across multiple installations. This position plays a critical role in supporting medical contingency response planning, national disaster medical readiness, and emergency preparedness initiatives in alignment with federal and DoD requirements. Key Responsibilities Program Support & Emergency Management Provide subject matter expertise supporting the Medical Counter-CBRN program Review and evaluate Medical Contingency Response Plans (MCRPs) for compliance with federal and DoD guidance Coordinate with AFMEDCOM and other stakeholders on medical emergency preparedness initiatives Maintain situational awareness of Federal Coordinating Center capabilities and readiness requirements Assist with development and execution of Home Station Medical Response (HSMR) program initiatives Support strategic planning, policy development, and program evaluation efforts Provide technical guidance to installation Medical Emergency Managers (MEMs) Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating emergency response exercises Support program budget planning activities related to emergency response readiness Training & Compliance Support training initiatives related to: National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Public Health Emergency Management Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OPSEC, DoD Cyber Awareness, and other regulatory requirements Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with federal agencies and military stakeholders Support working groups focused on medical readiness and contingency planning Provide reports, briefings, and technical recommendations to leadership Participate in meetings, site visits, and readiness workshops as required Minimum Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience in medical emergency management or 5 + years as an Emergency Manager Experience supporting CBRN response programs Knowledge of NIMS, ICS, and emergency response frameworks Experience in program analysis, workflow optimization, or process improvement Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required Certifications / Training Must possess or be able to complete:

(National Response Framework) DoD Cyber Awareness Training HIPAA & Privacy Training PMP (optional) Security Clearance Requirement Active Secret ClearanceREQUIRED
(T3) Candidate must currently hold an active Secret clearance Ability to work with classified and controlled information Must meet DoD information assurance and security requirements Work Schedule Monday- Friday 7:30 AM
- 4:30 PM Federal holidays observed Occasional extended hours for mission requirements Travel Requirements Occasional travel may be required for: Medical readiness workshops Working group meetings Training exercises Program support activities Travel is primarily CONUS and typically 3-5 days per trip.
