Active Secret clearance preferred; must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical Emergency Manager to support a Medical Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (MC-CBRN) program at the MAJCOM level. This role provides critical advisory and programmatic support to ensure readiness, compliance, and effective response planning for medical emergency management operations. You will serve as a subject matter expert supporting policy development, operational planning, training, and coordination across multiple installations and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide oversight and daily support for the MC-CBRN program and medical emergency management initiatives Review and validate Medical Contingency Response Plans (MCRPs) for compliance and operational readiness Coordinate with Air Force medical leadership and partner organizations on program requirements and improvements Monitor and assess installation-level capabilities, including Federal Coordinating Centers and readiness metrics Support planning, execution, and evaluation of medical exercises and training programs Assist in development and execution of program budgets and resource planning Deliver training, guidance, and reach-back support to installation-level emergency managers Participate in working groups to develop policies, strategies, and response frameworks Track program performance and recommend improvements based on data and after-action reports Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in emergency management within a medical or public health environment Experience supporting DoD, federal, or similar large-scale programs Strong background in: Medical CBRN response National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command Systems (ICS/HICS) Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Experience in program management, strategic planning, and process improvement Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including Project) Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively Required Certifications (or ability to obtain)
FEMA Independent Study Courses:
IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
Public Health Emergency Management training (or equivalent) Work Environment & Schedule Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 0730-1630 Hybrid/telework may be authorized based on mission needs Occasional travel (CONUS) for training, workshops, and site visits Work performed primarily at a government installation
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
