GENERAL OVERVIEW
This job is responsible for performing standard and complex electroencephalographic recording and detecting malfunctions of equipment and making repairs. Also performs all duties of a cardiology tech.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies electrodes on predetermined positions on patient's head and checks accuracy for testing and recognizes and eliminates causes of electrical interference for a clear study for better interpretation. (40%) Calibrates and keeps equipment clean to maintain performance. (40%) Assesses and review tracings and abstract information from patients' records to help neurologist interpret results. (20%) Other duties as assigned or requested.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Six (6) months' work experience in a hospital or physician's office is required High school diploma or equivalent required plus additional schooling 12 months or less in duration in EEG or respiratory therapy programs is required CPR - American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Preferred None Disclaimer:
