Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Bin inspection of surrounding areas for maintenance, repairs, and cleaning. Assist in the change of commodity in the grinder and ensure that grinders are running. Assist with weekly inventory and end-of-month inventory. Ensure roasters are running at appropriate temperatures. Monitor dryers for target moisture when necessary. Meet all SOPs for regular cleaning and maintenance of scales and the testing room. Perform cleaning and maintenance such as oiling equipment, testing, changing screens, and cleaning and testing scales. Understand and utilize computers and electronics for the grain facility. Greet truck drivers and help them unload and load trucks. Ensure that each truck driver has correctly filled in the appropriate paperwork. Ensure that trucks are filled to the regulated weight. Verify the commodity and correct bay assignment. Control the flow of the commodity/product. Accurately enter data associated with each load shipped or received in the tracking system. Oversee the quality of the commodities and products being delivered. Test commodities and/or products in accordance with SOP standards. Other shipping and receiving duties, as assigned and as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency is required in computer applications, online platforms, and software systems. Encompass a strong customer focus dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the external and internal customer by acting with the customer in mind. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and gaining their trust and respect. Ability to train during the day before transitioning to the night shift.

Work Environment & Hazards:

The work environment is primarily a factory setting with a high risk of airborne allergens and irritants, work at extreme heights, and duties associated with confined spaces common to a grain facility environment.
