Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type All Job Types If you're passionate about supporting students in their academic and developmental journeys, an exciting opportunity awaits you to work as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time position centers on delivering OT services to both elementary and secondary students, with openings designed to fit a variety of experience backgrounds, including home health, healthcare, school-based, and teletherapy settings. The upcoming school year begins August 20 and concludes June 4, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the entire academic year. You'll manage a caseload of 55-60 students, working collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students thrive.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification Experience working with school-aged children; backgrounds in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy highly valued Compassionate, student-centered approach with strong communication skills Ability to adapt strategies to both elementary and secondary environments Effective organizational and time-management abilities Proficient in developing, implementing, and updating individualized treatment plans
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative OT services in school settings Assess, plan, and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student success Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and outcomes Attend meetings and participate in school teams, contributing expertise Offer resources and guidance to families and staff for student carryover at home and in the classroom You'll enjoy a diverse caseload, the opportunity to utilize evidence-based practices, and the ability to make a genuine difference in the lives of students across various ages. School hours vary, with most elementary programs running from 8:30 am-3:15 pm and secondary schools from 7:30 am-2:15 pm.
