Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Take your skills as an Occupational Therapist to a vibrant school community near Angel Fire, NM, supporting students across a district for the full 2026-2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about improving K-12 students' lives through integrated, school-based OT services in a dynamic contract position. In this full-time role, you will collaborate with educators and families, providing therapy for a district-wide caseload of 30 to 35 students from kindergarten through grade 12. Make a tangible impact while developing professionally and helping students thrive both academically and personally.
Desired Qualifications:
Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license NPI (National Provider Identifier) Medicaid provider number Previous school-based OT experience is valued, especially with K-12 students Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services as part of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess students' needs and develop tailored intervention plans Track progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure effective support Provide consultation and training to school personnel regarding student OT needs Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment district-wide As a valued occupational therapist in this role, you'll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours each week, offering stability and the chance to build lasting connections with students and staff over the school year.
