Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners in a dynamic educational environment as a Paraprofessional. Two full-time roles are available for the 2026-2027 school year, each making a meaningful impact on pre-kindergarten students. Assignment #1 focuses on assisting within a Regular Education Pre-K classroom of approximately 17 students. You'll be part of a collaborative team—working alongside another paraprofessional and the classroom teacher—to provide additional support for students with IEPs and special needs, ensuring every child can thrive. Assignment #2 is centered in a Special Education Pre-K setting, serving students ages 3-5 with diverse needs. Many children are non-verbal, not yet toilet-trained, and may exhibit behavioral challenges such as tantrums. The classroom operates in two small sessions (4-7 students each); some children may remain for both. This role is vital for helping students develop critical skills and prepare for entry into regular education programs.
Qualifications:
Completion of required onsite district fingerprinting prior to start GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification preferred (candidates may interview while obtaining certification) Prior experience in a school or early childhood setting valued Passion, patience, and dedication to supporting children with special needs
