Job Description:

The Security Guard works within the Security Team and is responsible for ensuring the safety of the Company facilities, employees, and customers in accordance with established procedures and policies set forth by both the Company. The Security Guard is responsible for conducting security checks, monitoring security cameras, and reporting significant problems to authorities. Security personnel will assume on call duties and will respond to alarms and security problems as needed. Security Guard duties include, but are not limited to: Secures premises and personnel by restricting access to the property to (1) registered Patients and Personal Caregivers, (2) Company's dispensary agents, (3) Adult Use customers (must be over the age of 21), and (4) approved visitors and vendors by asking for appropriate documentation and/or authorization prior to entry. Responds to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or the presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire departments and/or local emergency response teams. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities in a timely and accurate manner and within established protocols and guidelines. Ensures reports, records and other documentation is accurate, complete, timely and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintains company's stability and reputation by complying with local and state laws and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Security Manager.

Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older; Prior experience in law enforcement or military experience preferred but not required; 1 + years of Security experience Elevated attention to detail; Neat and professional appearance; Ability to handle atypical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively; Ability to provide quality customer service; convey compassion towards patients; Basic computer operating skills with ability to operate PC, phones, monitors and other basic security devices; Reliable transportation; Current Massachusetts driver's license, passport or other state approved identification; Training and certification in First Aid, CPR and AED preferred but not required; Ability to communicate politely and appropriately in all situations; Must be flexible to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend and holiday shifts; Ability to physically assist patients and customers.
