Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Parts Clerk, where you'll be the vital link in ensuring the smooth flow of automotive parts and supplies. This energetic role involves managing inventory, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients. Your expertise will help streamline supply chain operations, support automotive diagnostics, and contribute to efficient dealership or repair shop functions. Duties Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and order management software, ensuring real-time data entry and inventory control. Process purchase orders, track shipments, and coordinate shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of parts. Manage supplier relationships through negotiation, sourcing, and procurement management to secure quality parts at competitive prices. Assist customers with automotive service inquiries, providing expert advice on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and aftermarket options. Conduct warehouse management tasks including stocking, organizing parts, forklift operation, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for equipment repairs and maintenance scheduling related to warehouse operations. Support demand planning by monitoring inventory levels, analyzing usage patterns, and adjusting procurement strategies accordingly. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics processes. Experience with automotive diagnostics, auto body repair parts, and dealership operations. Proficiency in ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms. Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity in HVAC systems or automotive repair equipment is a plus. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for inventory control and pricing accuracy. Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills for dealing with suppliers and clients. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; warehouse experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, sourcing strategies, and procurement processes within manufacturing or dealership environments.
