Job Description
Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Transporter, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patient care. In this vital role, you will facilitate the safe and efficient movement of patients within hospital facilities, ensuring they receive timely and respectful transportation to various departments, including diagnostic labs, treatment areas, and recovery rooms. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will support smooth hospital operations while providing comfort and reassurance to patients during their journey through care. Responsibilities Safely transport patients to and from different hospital departments, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout the process Assist patients with mobility needs, including those with limited physical ability or special medical requirements Maintain clear communication with clinical staff to coordinate patient transfers efficiently Follow proper safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control procedures Monitor patient well-being during transport, recognizing signs of distress or medical emergencies Keep accurate records of patient movements and report any incidents or concerns promptly Support hospital staff with additional tasks such as moving equipment or supplies when needed Requirements Prior experience in home and community care or hospital settings is highly desirable Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) to respond effectively in emergency situations Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with a focus on safety and comfort Experience working in critical care transport environments is a plus Strong physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients over extended periods Excellent communication skills for coordinating with healthcare teams and reassuring patients Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict safety protocols Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered service!
