Duties Provide peer-led support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges, fostering a trusting and motivating environment Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans and connecting them with appropriate community resources Conduct crisis intervention and management to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for clients and staff Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive behavioral changes and reinforce recovery goals Document interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards Mentor clients through ongoing recovery processes, offering encouragement and practical advice based on shared lived experiences Collaborate with clinical teams, social workers, and other service providers to coordinate care and track client progress Skills Strong understanding of behavioral health principles, mental health counseling, and addiction recovery strategies Proven ability to perform crisis intervention and crisis management effectively under pressure Excellent mentoring skills with a compassionate approach rooted in lived experience or relevant training Proficiency in social work practices and familiarity with EHR systems for documentation purposes Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate client engagement and goal setting Knowledge of community resources related to mental health, substance use treatment, housing, employment, and social services Effective communication skills to build rapport with diverse populations while maintaining professionalism Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for helping others meets your desire for personal growth.
