We have the job for you! Our team is seeking to hire a Miami Heat Dancer. The Miami HEAT Dancers display the ultimate Miami HEAT spirit and engage fans by performing on the court during games and by appearing/performing at community events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list. 1. Performs strenuous dance routines on the court during HEAT games, at community events, and other appearances. 2. Interacts and enthusiastically engages the crowd by leading chants, distributing giveaways, t-shirt tosses to the fans in the stands, participating in on-court promotions, etc. 3. Learns and rehearses strenuous dance routines approximately three times per week for approximately three hours each rehearsal (times may vary). 4. Attend promotional events, such as photography sessions, on behalf of the company. 5. Responsible for maintaining company-provided costumes and equipment. 6. Other duties as assigned by the Director, Entertainment Talent.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience The minimum requirement of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), a college degree preferred plus a minimum of 2 years of prior dance experience/formal training. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time; balance; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to dance; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is often physically active for long periods. Must be able to rehearse for many hours at a time. Successful dancers must have excellent balance, physical strength and physical dexterity, so they can move their bodies without falling or losing their sense of rhythm. The employee must be able to maneuver quickly around the arena. May perform various physical activities such as climbing stairs, running, jumping, tumbling, throwing, etc. The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 25 lbs. This position may require out-of-town travel. Work Environment Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. The noise level in the work environment is loud when working events (games, concerts, etc.). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
