Choir Director

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Choir Dir. for Lane Memorial United Methodist Church, who would have a collaborative working relationship with the Pastor to select repertoire and to conduct rehearsals which are welcoming to singers of all levels.

Responsibilities:

Meet with the Pastor to ensure that appropriate selections are made that aligns with the sermon or other church functions Collaborate with the accompanist, soloists, and other musicians to enrich the overall sound Provide a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork and artistic excellence

Experience:

Proven experience directing choirs or verbal ensembles in a community setting Strong knowledge of vocal techniques, choral literature, and performance practices Demonstrated ability to select music that challenges singers, while recognizing diverse skills. Ability to play the piano .

Pay:

Up to $11,000.00 per year
