Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized care plans across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and specialized clinics such as orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. Your expertise will directly impact patients' recovery journeys by providing compassionate, skilled support that promotes healing and enhances quality of life. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Deliver therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques—including trigger point therapy—and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately in accordance with medical terminology and physiotherapy standards. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition back to home or other care settings through education and follow-up recommendations. Provide patient care across various environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities. Educate patients and caregivers on proper exercise techniques, safety precautions, and injury prevention strategies. Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Skills Proven experience in outpatient, inpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings with a focus on orthopedics, geriatrics, or pediatrics. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to physiotherapy practices. Skilled in trigger point therapy techniques for pain relief and muscle relaxation. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and motivation. Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately and apply it within treatment documentation. Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth patient transitions. Experience working in home health environments is a plus. Join us in making a meaningful difference! Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
