Position Summary The Candidate will be working on excited state dynamics in metallic and doped semiconducting nanostructures, which is a modern research topic with plenty of experimental results that need to be modeled and rationalized by simulations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 1. Ph.D. or Equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biophysics, or a related field, by the start date of appointment 2. Experience in computational chemistry Preferred Qualification 1. Experience conducting research at an academic institution 2. Experience in developing enhanced sampling algorithms and/or free energy methods 3. A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
