Job Description

Overview We are seeking a high-caliber Project Controls Manager (On-site Owner's Rep) to support a confidential Data Center Developer. This is a long-term, high-impact role located in the heart of the Texas innovation corridor between Austin and San Antonio. We are looking for a project controls expert who can masterfully navigate complex contractor schedules and cost reports and drive the project controls processes for a premier infrastructure project.

On-site near San Marcos, TX (Relocation assistance available).
Employment Type:
1099 preferred (W-2 options available).

Data Center Construction (Experience preferred; not required).
Your Responsibilities Project Controls Leadership:
Drive standing of project controls processes and functions. Lead Front-End Planning and facilitate Pull Planning sessions (a core requirement).
Schedule Management:
Oversee and manage comprehensive contractor schedules, ensuring strict alignment with project milestones and owner's scheduling specifications.
Cost Controls:
Monitor/update EAC, change orders, payment apps, cashflow, and related cost reporting functions
Advanced Analysis:
Perform rigorous schedule and cost variance analysis.
LLE Coordination:
Assist in strategic planning for Long Lead Equipment (LLE) and Required On-Job (ROJ) dates.
Schedule Integrity:
Conduct detailed schedule quality checks and coordinate complex interdependencies and critical path validation.
Reporting:
Manage all schedule and cost-related reporting, providing clear visibility into project health and potential bottlenecks.
Collaboration:
Review contractor progress and provide expert analysis to support the project leadership team.
Critical Path & Risk Monitoring:
Highlight schedule risks early and recommend mitigation strategies What You Bring to the

12-18 years of dedicated experience in project planning and scheduling.
Technical Mastery:
Deep expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) and schedule quality metrics.
Software Proficiency:
Advanced skills in industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6).
Communication:
Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and challenge contractor data effectively.
