Job Description

You know when a site is doing well… but could be better. The audits are strong. The team is capable. The foundations are there. But there is still a gap between good and truly great. This is one of those sites. A well-established food manufacturing operation in Theodore is looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership of food safety, quality, and sanitation. The site is stable, well-run, and trusted by major foodservice customers, with long-standing contracts and consistent demand. What they need now is someone who can elevate it. You will lead a close-knit quality team and take full responsibility for how standards are set, communicated, and lived across the facility. That includes everything from audit readiness and regulatory compliance through to day-to-day problem solving and coaching the team to think differently about quality. This is not a turnaround. It is about progression. The site already performs well, but there is an opportunity to strengthen leadership, improve troubleshooting capability, and bring more structure and consistency to how quality is managed. You will also be the key point of contact for audits and external visitors, working closely with plant leadership and a third-party sanitation provider to ensure standards are not only met, but continuously improved. Experience in dry or powder environments will help, particularly where raw materials like flour bring their own challenges. What makes this role particularly interesting is the level they are open to. If you are already a Quality Manager, you will have the autonomy to shape the function. If you are a strong Supervisor who has been heavily involved in audits, leading people, and ready to step up, this could be the opportunity that gives you that first full site leadership role. To succeed, you will need a solid grounding in food safety within a regulated environment, confidence working with audits and regulatory standards, and the ability to lead people in a way that builds capability rather than just maintains compliance. If you are someone who looks at a good operation and immediately sees how it could be better, this is worth a conversation. Let's talk in confidence.
