This role will be reporting to our Engineering Manager at our Aerospace Manufactory in Cudahy, CA. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that has been in business for over 30 years! Salary Rate:
$100,000 - $120,000 DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and support Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians in daily inspection and quality activities. Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures, including AS9100 and ISO requirements. Monitor manufacturing processes and product inspections to ensure conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards. Review first article inspections (FAIs), in-process inspections, and final inspection documentation. Investigate nonconforming materials and products and lead root cause and corrective action activities. Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement preventive measures. Conduct internal audits and support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits. Review and analyze quality metrics, trends, scrap reports, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities. Ensure calibration and control of inspection tools and measuring equipment. Train and mentor employees on quality standards, inspection methods, and aerospace compliance requirements. Maintain accurate quality records and ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process efficiency. Promote and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout the facility. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of quality experience in aerospace manufacturing or a regulated manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding ofAS9100, ISO
9001, and aerospace quality standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications. Experience with inspection methods, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality systems. Proficiency with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP or quality management systems. Preferred Skills Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements per AS9102. Knowledge of FAA, NADCAP, or customer-specific aerospace requirements. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience working with nonconformance reports (NCRs), CAPAs, and supplier quality processes. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
