Job Description

Quality Technician l Valley Staffing is seeking candidates for a quality technician role. This position requires some hands on quality related experience. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with opportunities for growth after hire on.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-process, incoming, and outgoing inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections and precise measurements using a variety of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and work order specifications.
  • Record inspection data and generate quality and inspection reports. Identify, document, and process non-conforming materials and products.
  • Support production and shipping teams with quality-related questions and inspection needs.
  • Monitor and maintain inspection equipment, gauges, fixtures, and quality samples.
  • Utilize the company ERP system to enter and manage inspection data and documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safety-first work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using inspection equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical manufacturing data.
  • Basic math and trigonometry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of
ISO 9001
quality systems.
  • Knowledge of gage calibration, traceability, and proper handling of inspection tools.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with capability studies and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience calibrating mechanical inspection tools.

  • Occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and climbing stairs.

  • Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
