Resident Aide

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Aides to provide high-quality care and support to residents in a Assisted Living facility. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of residents, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, dementia care, or home & community care, and possess strong caregiving skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives through personalized assistance and compassionate support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments Support residents with behavioral management strategies to promote a safe environment Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe transfers Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Support residents during social activities and encourage engagement in community events Document observations related to resident health status and report any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and patience Familiarity with Icare systems for documentation purposes is advantageous Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may include evenings or every other weekends This role is essential in creating a supportive environment where residents feel valued, safe, and cared for.
