Responsibilities Install, service, and repair residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using schematics and HVAC design plans. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment such as boilers, air conditioners, and refrigeration units to ensure peak performance. Diagnose mechanical issues using tools like ohmmeters and perform electrical testing to identify faults accurately. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and plumbing layouts to facilitate precise repairs and installations. Perform appliance repairs related to HVAC/R systems, including refrigerant recharges and component replacements. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients about system status and maintenance needs. Experience Entry level to 2 years. Construction background or experience working on property maintenance projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with HVAC design principles, schematics, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology, and boiler operation. Mechanical knowledge of equipment repair including welding, appliance troubleshooting, and field service operations. Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R equipment is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Demonstrated ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately.
