Retail Sales Consultant

Community Broadband Networks (CBN) is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) committed to delivering affordable, high-speed internet to underserved communities. We partner with municipalities, community organizations, and funding agencies to bridge the digital divide. As we expand our broadband infrastructure in Long Island, we are seeking a skilled Retail Sales Consultant to lead our efforts. Job Summary A Retail Sales Consultant assists customers in selecting and purchasing mobile devices, internet, TV, and bundled service plans. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and promoting products and services in a retail environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and assess their needs to recommend suitable telecommunications products and services Sell mobile phones, accessories, wireless plans, internet, and bundled packages Explain product features, pricing, promotions, and contract terms clearly Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals Process transactions, activations, upgrades, and account changes accurately Troubleshoot basic device or service issues and provide solutions Maintain knowledge of current promotions, competitors, and new technology Build and maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing Participate in team meetings, trainings, and sales initiatives Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred) Previous retail or sales experience (telecommunications preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Basic technical knowledge of smartphones, devices, and wireless services Problem-solving and customer service skills Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Experience with CRM or point-of-sale systems Bilingual abilities (especially valuable in diverse communities) Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
