Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Current and valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Proficiency in administering respiratory therapy treatments and performing diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis, spirometry, and pulmonary function testing Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Experience with mechanical ventilation management and airway care procedures Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement appropriate respiratory therapy plans for patients with a variety of cardiopulmonary disorders Administer oxygen, medications, and other therapeutic interventions as prescribed Monitor patient responses to therapy, and document all interventions and outcomes accurately in medical records Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care and implement best practices Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and self-care techniques Maintain equipment, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and participate in departmental quality initiatives This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise in an engaging and supportive environment.
