Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Rubber Conveyor Belt Technician and become a vital part of our industrial maintenance operations! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining rubber conveyor belts within manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure smooth, efficient operations by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and working with advanced tools and schematics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in industrial conveyor systems. Responsibilities Install, align, and tension rubber conveyor belts across various manufacturing lines, ensuring optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to conveyor systems using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and technical manuals. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Utilize electrical experience to troubleshoot motor drives, sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low/high voltage systems. Operate specialized equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and other field service tools safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Perform welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding) and hydraulic repairs as needed to restore conveyor integrity. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and follow safety protocols aligned with industrial electrician standards. Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within manufacturing facilities or similar environments. Strong electrical background with knowledge of industrial electrician practices, high voltage systems, and troubleshooting with ammeters and ohmmeters. Hands-on experience working with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, schematics, and precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and analysis skills for diagnosing complex machinery issues. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service settings while maintaining excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of industrial maintenance procedures including welding ( welding), electrical safety standards, and the use of diagnostic tools. Military experience or background in related technical fields is considered a strong asset.
