Safety Coordinator

Safety Coordinator Tulare, CA $20.00-$25.00/hour DOE Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time About the Opportunity Key Staffing is currently recruiting for a Safety Coordinator to support a fast-paced food manufacturing and production environment in Tulare County. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong clerical, communication, and public speaking skills who is passionate about workplace safety and employee training. The Safety Coordinator will assist with safety education programs, employee orientations, compliance initiatives, and overall safety support within the facility. Candidates with previous safety experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or industrial environments are highly preferred. Schedule Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Must be flexible to work weekends and adjusted schedules during harvest season based on operational needs Key Responsibilities Assist with safety training and employee education programs Conduct and support new hire safety orientations Maintain and update safety procedures, policies, and documentation Partner with supervisors and management to promote safe work practices Support OSHA and company safety compliance initiatives Review incident and injury reports and assist with corrective action follow-up Help maintain safety records, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations Assist with safety audits, inspections, and compliance tracking Support environmental and workplace safety programs as needed Promote a positive safety culture throughout the facility Qualifications Previous safety experience highly preferred Experience within manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or industrial environments is a plus Strong clerical and organizational skills Comfortable speaking in front of groups and conducting trainings Proficient in: Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook and other office applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality Preferred Certifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred First Aid/CPR certification is a plus Physical & Work Environment Combination of office and production floor environment Exposure to manufacturing equipment and varying noise levels Ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
