Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Salad & Cold Station Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh salads, cold appetizers, and other chilled dishes that delight our guests and uphold our high standards of food quality and safety. Your energetic approach to meal preparation and food handling will ensure that each plate served is both visually appealing and delicious. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced, fine dining environment where teamwork and precision are key to success. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of salads, cold appetizers, and chilled dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food items are handled, stored, and prepared following strict food safety guidelines Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative salad and cold dish options that align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold station, including proper sanitation of tools and work surfaces Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during service hours Monitor inventory levels of ingredients specific to salads and cold dishes, notifying management when supplies need replenishing Support catering events by preparing large quantities of salads and cold items while maintaining quality control Skills Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or culinary setting Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques for salads and cold dishes Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper storage procedures Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining service environments Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and kitchen staff Join us as a Salad & Cold Station Cook if you're passionate about creating fresh, flavorful dishes that elevate the dining experience.
