Qualifications Two (2) + years professional work experience in special events planning handling weddings, special events, conferences, and meetings Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel operating systems Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work quickly and efficiently while balancing multiple priorities and collaborating with multiple Hotel departments Organizing and meeting deadlines with attention to detail and process Strategic planning Ability to solve problems effectively and creatively while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity Self-motivation and initiative are key for the ability to lead the execution of an event and plan its different components in detail Ability to adhere to deadlines Dependability Customer Focus Full Job Description Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking weddings, special events, conferences, and meetings Conduct property site visits and answer questions Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and service accounts Handle events from conception to planning and execution Prepare banquet event orders and floor plans Handle and reconcile event billing Organize and file client contracts Partner with Hotel departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
