In this role, you'll work directly with some of the largest shopping center and property management groups in the United States, helping expand one of the nation's leading charitable donation collection networks. You'll build relationships with commercial real estate professionals, including specialty leasing managers, ancillary income managers, and asset managers, to identify opportunities that create value for both our partners and the communities they serve. As the primary point of contact for your portfolio, you'll be responsible for developing new national and regional property group partnerships, expanding donation sites within existing portfolios, renewing agreements, resolving partner issues, and using data to identify opportunities for growth and improved site performance. This is a unique opportunity to combine business development, account management, commercial real estate, and analytics in a role that has a direct impact on the growth of our organization. This position is based in our Birmingham, Alabama headquarters with occasional travel to visit clients, attend ICSC conferences, and develop new business.
What You'll Do:
Business Development Identify, prospect, and secure new regional and national property group partnerships. Build relationships with specialty leasing managers, ancillary income managers, asset managers, and other commercial real estate decision-makers. Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry networking. Represent the company at industry events including ICSC conferences and networking opportunities. Develop and execute strategies to expand donation site placements across some of the nation's largest shopping center portfolios. Account Management Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned property groups. Expand existing partnerships by identifying additional properties within each portfolio. Lead contract renewals and ensure long-term partnership retention. Proactively communicate with clients to maintain strong relationships and uncover new opportunities. Resolve property issues quickly while providing exceptional customer service. Portfolio Growth & Analysis Analyze donation site performance to identify opportunities for expansion, relocation, or optimization. Partner with Operations and Logistics teams to improve site performance and resolve operational challenges. Evaluate high-performing and underperforming locations using data, demographics, and operational metrics. Recommend strategic improvements that maximize donation volume and partner satisfaction. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal Growth, Logistics, Marketing, and Operations teams to successfully launch and maintain new sites. Ensure new locations are onboarded efficiently and meet company standards. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipeline activity, and forecasting. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Experience in sales, business development, account management, commercial real estate, or relationship management. Proven success generating new business through outbound prospecting. Strong phone presence and confidence conducting high-volume sales conversations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to analyze data and make sound business recommendations. Self-motivated with a high level of personal accountability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Preferred Qualifications Commercial real estate experience. Experience working with shopping centers, property management companies, or retail landlords. Experience selling B2B services or managing national accounts. Familiarity with ICSC and the commercial real estate industry. Experience interpreting performance metrics and identifying growth opportunities.
