Account managers will be expected to maintain current revenue, qualify new prospects to grow revenue, improve profitability, and manage the customer relationship with both current and prospective clients. Essential Functions Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing Exhibit the ability to learn the chemical offerings that Research Solutions provides our customer base Operate in an independent manner utilizing problem solving skills to provide solutions to the customer base Capable of analyzing data to support key recommendations to the customer Competencies Communication Proficiency (verbal and written)- the ability to interact with employees and the various level of management at the customer level. Time Management Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and online reporting tools Organizational Skills Teamwork Orientation Ability to multitask Problem Solving/Analysis Chemistry/or other science background knowledge Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities Work Environment The sales territory will be the upper 2/3 of Alabama, and extreme western Georgia with most of the time spent making sales calls and/or providing service visits. Physical Demands The ability to drive to and from customer locations is a must. The ability to perform various physical activities as necessary is a must (walking, driving, lifting, etc.). Education and Experience Bachelor's degree: Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related field 3-5 years of related chemical sales experience or industrial sales experience, Required Additional Eligibility Qualifications Valid driver's license Clean motor vehicle record
Income:
Base Salary with attractive commission structure New business bonus (paid for one year for each new account) Year-end bonus for exceeding your sales forecast.Expenses and transportation:
