Flexible schedule a must. We're looking for a detail-oriented Small Machines Technician to manage our rental equipment fleet and keep our customers' projects on track. You'll handle preventative maintenance, repairs, and customer support for small equipment like Bobcats, skid steers, and other rental machinery. This is hands-on work where you'll directly impact our rental operation's reliability and uptime. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on rental equipment (oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, safety checks) Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic issues on small rental equipment Manage equipment check-in/check-out processes, including inspections for damage and fuel levels Maintain detailed maintenance logs and equipment history Respond to equipment failures and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime Communicate with rental customers about equipment status and scheduling Keep work area organized and maintain inventory of parts and supplies Assist with fleet expansion decisions based on maintenance trends and customer demand Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience with small equipment maintenance or repair (construction, rental, landscaping, or farm equipment) Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems Valid driver's license Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communications Preferred Qualifications Bobcat or similar OEM certification Experience with rental equipment operations Forklift certification General mechanical aptitude beyond just equipment (vehicles, small engines) What We're Looking For Someone reliable, problem-solving, and practical.
