Job Description

The Agency Relations Supervisor (Hybrid) leads and supports a team of Marketing Representatives to ensure consistent execution of distribution objectives within assigned territories. This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, reinforcing performance standards, coaching representatives, and ensuring agency activity aligns with established growth and profitability goals. The Supervisor focuses on team performance, territory execution, and agency engagement while supporting divisional leadership through reporting, field oversight, and operational consistency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily activities of assigned personnel, including work assignment, workload management, quality review, coaching, mentoring, performance management and documentation, recruiting participation, onboarding coordination, scheduling, and timekeeping approval. Ensure implementation of established distribution plans within assigned territories. Oversee agency relationship management activities conducted by Marketing Representatives. Monitor agency engagement, pipeline activity, and execution of approved growth plans. Conduct periodic joint agency visits and field reviews to support representative development. Promote consistent use of internal reporting tools. Partner with Underwriting, Product, and other internal teams to support agency needs. Track team activity and performance metrics including submissions, growth, retention, and profitability indicators. Identify trends or performance gaps and implement corrective coaching actions. Prepare and submit performance summaries to divisional leadership. Monitor market conditions and communicate relevant insights to management. Perform related duties consistent with the role as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of two years of experience in either insurance, sales, customer service or a related business field. Supervisors and managers are required to have completed NYCM's internal leadership development programs, including Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ1) and Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ2). External hires must complete required leadership programs, Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ1) and Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ2), within a timeframe established by the organization. Valid New York State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Qualifications & Skills:
Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance products and agency distribution practices General understanding of underwriting guidelines Familiarity with sales activity tracking, territory management, and agency engagement practices Awareness of company policies, procedures, and regulatory/compliance requirements Working knowledge of performance metrics such as submissions, retention, and growth Developing leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with team members and agency partners Organizational and time management skills to manage daily supervisory responsibilities and competing priorities Basic analytical skills to review reports, identify trends, and escalate concerns as needed Problem-solving skills to address routine operational and performance issues Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems and reporting tools Ability to support and guide team members in achieving defined performance expectations Ability to manage day-to-day team activities with oversight from divisional leadership Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with agencies and internal partners Ability to follow established processes and support consistent territory execution Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to feedback Ability to learn and apply new concepts, tools, and leadership practices Ability to travel within assigned territories for agency visits and field support
Market Range:
10 / Exempt / 40 hours per week / Hybrid - 3 Days in
Office Salary:
$63,313 - $105,521 Accepting applications until: 5/7/2026
