Coastal Vision Medical Group is a premier eye care provider serving Orange County, Los Angeles, and Riverside County. Our surgeons are highly trained in LASIK vision correction, cataract, glaucoma, and advanced ophthalmologic procedures. The Territory Relations Manager plays a critical role in driving growth by achieving defined sales targets, expanding referral networks, and strengthening provider relationships within an assigned territory. This is a results-driven, outside sales role focused on developing new territory through proactive outreach, cold calling, and consistent pipeline growth, while also serving as a key liaison between referring offices and Coastal Vision to ensure a seamless partnership experience.Key Responsibilities:
Build and expand a high-performing referral network of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and primary care providers Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals tied to referral growth and procedure volume Develop new business within the territory through cold calling, prospecting, and in-person outreach Identify and penetrate new accounts while growing existing relationships Serve as the primary liaison between referring offices and Coastal Vision, ensuring strong communication and partnership alignment Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting referral flow, scheduling, patient experience, or partner satisfaction Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve concerns quickly and effectively Maintain a high level of daily sales activity, including cold calls, office visits, and follow-ups Track and manage sales activity metrics including calls, meetings, conversions, and referral trends Maintain accurate and timely CRM reporting, pipeline tracking, and weekly activity reports Analyze territory performance and adjust strategies to improve results and market share Implement targeted marketing strategies to increase awareness and drive referrals for LASIK, cataract, glaucoma, and other services Provide ongoing training and education to partner offices on procedures, technology, and referral processes Collaborate with internal teams (clinical, marketing, leadership) to align on growth initiatives Ensure consistent communication between affiliate offices and internal staff Represent the organization at events, meetings, and educational programs (including occasional evenings/weekends) Adhere to all company policies and healthcare industry compliance standardsPerformance Expectations:
Consistently meet or exceed established sales quotas and KPIs Demonstrate success in building a territory through cold calling and new account acquisition Act as a trusted partner and problem-solver for referring offices Maintain a high level of outbound activity and territory engagement Show measurable growth in new accounts, referrals, procedures, and revenue Deliver accurate, data-driven reporting and forecasting Continuously improve conversion rates and account development Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities within your assigned territory. Conduct warm calling campaigns to engage prospects, introduce solutions, and generate qualified leads. Lead negotiations to close deals that align with client needs and company goals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes. Develop tailored sales strategies leveraging marketing insights and technical product knowledge to maximize market penetration. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract signing, including proposal development and follow-up. Utilize CRM tools to track interactions, forecast sales, and analyze territory performance metrics. Collaborate with internal teams on account management, technical support, and marketing initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Job Requirements (Full-Time Role): Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year accredited institution or equivalent sales experience Sales experience in medical services or the healthcare industry preferred Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or technical sales within a related industry. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers confidently. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively and presenting complex solutions clearly. Demonstrated success in sales analysis, market research, and strategic planning. Familiarity with CRM platforms for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines. Ability to conduct warm calling campaigns confidently and persistently build new client relationships. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills Strong work ethic and high level of personal accountability Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work independently in a field-based sales role Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize a territory-based workload This is a full-time, travel-based position requiring 90%+ local/regional travel within the assigned territory In-office patient counseling may be required as part of the role Reliable transportation is required Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and territory growth.
