Job Description

We are a design-build contractor based in Ferndale, serving Whatcom and Skagit counties. We design and build ADUs, additions, remodels and outdoor living spaces such as patios, decks, outdoor kitchens and full-property landscapes. One team handles the design, the permits and the construction. We have more than 126 Google reviews and are a 2026 Best of the Northwest winner in Bellingham Alive's readers' choice awards. The job When a homeowner calls us about a new project, you are the first person they talk to. You find out what they want to build, whether it is a fit, and book a site visit with one of our estimators. You also make sure no lead waits: web inquiries get a call within minutes, voicemails get returned within the hour, and anyone who has not booked gets a follow-up on a set schedule. The rest of your day keeps the office running. You call suppliers and subcontractors for the team, confirm appointments, enter receipts and job data for our bookkeeper, and send review requests when projects finish. What you will do Answer inbound calls and call back every new web lead within 5 minutes during business hours Ask the qualifying questions: project type, address, scope, budget range, timeline and who decides Book site visits in our CRM and make sure every booking carries the lead source and notes Follow up with leads who have not booked, using a set call, text and email schedule Return voicemails and messages within the hour Confirm site visits and design meetings the day before Call suppliers and subcontractors for the estimators and project managers Enter receipts and job data for the bookkeeper Send review and referral requests when projects are complete What we are looking for Two or more years in a phone-heavy job: customer service, reception, inside sales, scheduling or dispatch Clear and friendly on the phone, including with callers who are unsure what they want Comfortable asking about budget and booking the next step
Organized:
you keep notes, follow a process and finish the day with nothing left hanging At ease with a CRM, email and texting tools. Construction, remodeling or home services experience is a plus, not a requirement How we measure the job We track a few numbers every week and share them openly: how fast new leads get a call, how many book a site visit, how quickly voicemails are returned, and whether any lead sits without a next step. You will see your own numbers from week one. How to apply Apply on Indeed with your resume and a few sentences about a time you turned a hesitant caller into a booked appointment. The interview includes a short practice call, the same one for every candidate.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
Work Location:
In person
