Status:
Part-Time Employee Wage:
$25-$30/hour - 15-20 hours per week
Schedule:
Self-managed. Will require some evening and weekend hours for meetings and events. When the Meyer Art Center is built, or if we use a temporary art center beforehand, office hours will be expected.

Executive Director Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Meyer Art Center's communications strategy during a pivotal period of organizational growth as the Meyer Art Center prepares to build its flagship building - a stunning 13,000 sq. ft. arts center in the heart of historic downtown Stanwood. The role is both creative and operational, helping maintain a vibrant online presence, nurturing community relationships, and ensuring supporters feel informed, celebrated, and engaged. Working closely with the Executive Director and the Marketing Team in a small, collaborative environment, the Marketing Coordinator will touch nearly every aspect of how the Meyer Art Center shows up, from monthly crafted email newsletters to social media posts that make people smile. This is a wonderful opportunity for a communications leader and detail-oriented individual who believes in the power of the arts to build community. Key Responsibilities The Marketing Coordinator will support a broad range of communications and engagement functions. Primary areas of responsibility are outlined below. Website Management - (the new website launched August 2026) Update and maintain the Meyer Art Center website using Webflow CMS (no coding required for most tasks). Publish monthly class listings, event announcements, artists features, and blog content. Ensure content accuracy, consistent branding, and adherence to mobile and accessibility standards. Coordinate with Program staff on content calendar and page updates. Email Marketing Draft and schedule email newsletters and campaign messages using email marketing tools (MailChimp, Bloomerang). Manage subscriber lists, segments, and opt-out compliance. Coordinate timing of appeals, event invitations, and program announcements. Track open rates, clicks, and campaign performance; share basic analytics with the Capital Campaign Team and Executive Director. Copywriting and Content Creation Write clear, engaging, on-brand copy for emails, social media, newsletter, web pages, event descriptions, and donor communications. Adapt messaging for different audiences - including donors, class participants, volunteers, and the general public. Proofread and edit all communications for grammar, tone, and accuracy. Assist with grant narrative support and program descriptions as needed. Social Media Support Help manage the Meyer Art Center's social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and others as applicable). Create or coordinate visual content using Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools. Schedule posts, respond to comments, and help grow community engagement. Monitor trends and suggest timely, mission-aligned content ideas. Event Support & Promotion Create Crab Cracker advertisements. Assist with marketing and promotional materials for classes, exhibitions, Artists Salons, festivals, and special events (posters, fliers, etc.). Create event listings across relevant platforms (Eventbrite, website, social media). Support on-site event communications and signage as needed. Help coordinate pre- and post-event communications with attendees and volunteers. Volunteer Mobilization Coordinate Marketing Team to carry out a Marketing Plan. Facilitate Marketing Campaigns (press releases, social media, podcasts, radio, etc.). Track social media analytics and report on Marketing analytics for Marketing Team. Qualifications Required Associate's or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field - or equivalent professional work experience. Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable learning and working with new software platforms (Webflow, Bloomerang, email marketing tools). Experience with social media management for an organization or brand. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a small staff environment. Genuine enthusiasm for the arts, community, and nonprofit sector. Preferred Experience with Webflow or other CMS platforms. Experience with Bloomerang or other donor/constituent CRM database. Email marketing experience (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar platforms). Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools. Prior experience in a nonprofit, arts, or community organization setting. Familiarity with the Stanwood-Camano community and its values.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
