The ideal candidate is guest-focused, highly motivated, and demonstrates exceptional energy, organization, and leadership. This role is vital to the hotel's success and requires a consistent display of professionalism, sincerity, and collaboration with both guests and team members. Duties Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing plan that achieves targeted budgets and revenue goals. Respond promptly to leads from brand and other channels. Collaborate with the Front Office and Revenue teams to optimize yield and manage the PMS effectively. Prepare and negotiate company contracts in line with business and pricing conditions. Maintain and expand strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and developing new market opportunities. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive advantages. Coordinate and lead site inspections, client visits, and familiarization trips. Oversee the performance of third-party and promotional websites to ensure optimal online visibility. Manage the hotel's social media presence and ensure timely, professional engagement. Maintain accurate and compelling website content. Develop and communicate departmental sales goals and monitor progress. Create and manage promotional materials in accordance with brand standards. Ensure all in-house and external marketing collateral is current, effective, and brand compliant. Support Food & Beverage marketing initiatives through local advertising and partnerships. Ensure all client interactions, quotations, and contracts are documented and tracked. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all client and guest interactions. Submit weekly Sales & Marketing activity reports to the General Manager. Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Marketing team through regular coaching and feedback. Conduct weekly sales meetings and track progress against goals. Assist operational departments when needed (e.g., Front Desk, Bell Desk, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping). Participate in the selling of guest rooms, meeting space and F&B. Participate in local community events and local chamber and visitor's bureau initiatives. Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager. Foster collaboration across departments through consistent communication and teamwork. Oversee group and meeting offers, discounts, and repeat-booking programs. Partner with the Revenue Department to manage accurate forecasting and reporting. Lead the preparation of annual sales and marketing plans, quarterly updates, and annual budgets. Contribute to company-wide sales and marketing initiatives through local implementation and feedback. Ensure that all client correspondence is tracked and recorded, including quotations and contracts. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct when dealing with clients, guests etc. Lead and develop your Sales & Marketing team by proactively coaching and mentoring team members. Conduct weekly snapshot meetings with your team and share update on activities/sales to date and plans for the weeks ahead. Monitor the progress of your sales team through weekly activity reports. Monitor offers options, and discounts for repeat bookings for groups, and meetings. Actively participate and complete the preparation of the annual Sales and Marketing Plan, quarterly updates, and the complex hotels' annual budgets. Execute initiatives as outlined; swiftly implement strategies/tactics to offset changes in markets, economy or driven by the competitive set. Contribute to the development of company sales and marketing initiatives by recommending, implementing, and monitoring appropriate local activity. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 3+ years in a hotel sales leadership role within the hospitality industry. Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial. Valid driver's license required. Ability to travel by flight which includes overnight travel as needed. Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets. Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and social media strategies. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging clients and internal teams. Comprehension of Microsoft Office, hotel PMS systems and Automated Sales Systems preferred. Results-driven, commercially focused, and highly organized. Strong leadership and team development skills. Creative thinker with the ability to influence and adapt in a competitive market. Knowledge of the Anaheim-Buena Park-Orange County market is a plus. Flexibility to work under pressure and manage a dynamic schedule. Impeccable grooming and professional presence.
Compensation & Benefits:
