In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of catering services, ensuring exceptional food quality, outstanding customer experiences, and efficient team management. Your leadership will drive the success of our catering events, from small gatherings to large-scale functions, by coordinating food preparation, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and service excellence. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute catering events with attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste. Train, mentor, and develop catering staff to uphold service standards and enhance team performance. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and service areas. Conduct staff scheduling, manage labor costs, and analyze profit and loss reports to optimize operational efficiency. Lead team meetings, facilitate communication between departments, and foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork. Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a memorable experience for clients at every event. Collaborate with clients to customize menus and special requests while maintaining profitability. Skills Proven experience in managing catering, restaurant operations, or sales within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS along with cash handling expertise. Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams, training staff, and managing hospitality teams effectively. Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks including interviewing, staff training & development, and managerial communication. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to budgeting, pricing strategies, and profit analysis. Familiarity with food industry standards including food production processes and catering services experience. Strong organizational skills for shift management, event planning, and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of hospitality management principles with a focus on customer service excellence in both casual dining and fine dining environments.
