Please complete online application Position Summary The Associate Director of Student Success and Student-Run Businesses supports student success while contributing to the strategy and operations of LIU's student-run businesses, including the Canteen Store, Student Fashion Store, and Shark Nation Spirit Store. The position manages a designated student caseload, providing individualized coaching and support, while working closely with colleagues to advance business performance, student employment, experiential learning, and professional development. Key Responsibilities Student-Run Businesses Contribute to the strategy, growth, and development of the student run businesses. Partner with the Store Manager on business goals, operations, merchandising, customer engagement, and special initiatives. Help create meaningful experiential learning, leadership, and career development opportunities through the student-run businesses. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of Federal Work Study students and Sales Ambassadors. Assist with retail operations, inventory, e-commerce, Shopify POS, promotions, events, and customer service. Use business and student feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Student Success & Coaching Manage a designated caseload of students and provide individualized coaching, advising, and proactive outreach. Help students address academic, personal, and professional challenges and connect them with appropriate campus resources. Develop success plans and monitor student progress toward academic and professional goals. Provide coaching related to goal setting, time management, career readiness, leadership, and self-advocacy. Collaborate with campus partners to support student engagement, persistence, retention, and overall success. Help students identify and articulate transferable skills gained through employment, leadership, and experiential learning. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working directly with college students through advising, coaching, student success, career development, or related work. Experience in retail, business operations, customer service, or a related field. Experience supervising, coaching, or developing student employees or staff. Retail management experience preferred. Experience with Shopify POS or comparable systems preferred. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends, campus events, and other
