Job Description

Job Title:
Sales Manager (Expanded) Position Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile Sales Manager to lead our agricultural fencing sales efforts. In this expanded role, you will not only co-lead a small, dedicated sales team but also work closely with company leadership to drive revenue, optimize daily sales operations, and tackle strategic company initiatives. The ideal candidate is just as comfortable visiting farms and project sites as they are analyzing sales data in Acumatica ERP and managing miscellaneous operational projects. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Sales Operations Lead, mentor, and motivate a small sales team focused on capturing new agricultural fencing business. Ensure the smooth, efficient execution of daily sales operations, from lead generation to quote approvals and deal closure. Establish clear sales targets, hold the team accountable, and provide ongoing training and support. Direct Sales & Customer Engagement Occasional travel to visit current and prospective customers, building strong, trust-based relationships in the agricultural community. Gather market intelligence and customer feedback during site visits to help the company stay competitive. Data Analysis & ERP Management Utilize Acumatica ERP daily to track sales pipelines, manage customer data, and monitor inventory availability. Analyze sales data, conversion rates, and margin performance to identify trends and growth opportunities. Generate regular sales reports to present to company leadership. Strategic Collaboration & Special Projects Work directly with company leadership on strategic planning and cross-departmental alignment. Take ownership of miscellaneous company projects as needed, which may include process improvements, new product rollouts, or market expansion research. Purchasing and Inventory Management Work with vendors to purchase inventory and maintain stock. Collaborate with company leadership to analyze stock levels and suggest adjustments.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven experience in sales leadership or a senior sales role, preferably within the agricultural fencing, building materials, or ag-equipment industries.
Systems:
Hands-on experience working within an ERP system is required; specific experience with Acumatica ERP is highly preferred.
Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to read, interpret, and leverage data to make informed sales decisions.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with agricultural clients in the field and collaborate effectively with executive leadership in the boardroom.
Work Style:
Highly adaptable, organized, and willing to wear multiple hats in a dynamic business environment.
Travel:
Willingness to travel locally and regionally to visit customers and project sites.
