ABOUT OLIVER TRAVEL TRAILERS
Oliver Travel Trailers is a premium, direct-to-consumer recreational vehicle manufacturer based in Hohenwald, Tennessee. We have no dealer network in the United States — every US sale goes directly from our team to our customer. We do have a single dealer partner in Quebec, Canada. We produce the Signature, Legacy Series, and Apex Series — handcrafted trailers built for buyers who have done their research. Our customers are investing $60,000-$125,000 in a premium product. The sale is won through trust, expertise, and genuine relationship, not pressure. Our sales team connects buyers with the product through plant tours at our Hohenwald facility and connects prospective buyers with current Oliver owners through our field visit program — a differentiator that matters deeply to our customers. We are a growing company and our sales team grows with us. This Sales Manager role brings in an experienced leader who learns our process from the inside, then steps fully into management on January 2nd.
THE ROLE
You will start immediately as an active sales representative — learning our product, buyers, CRM, and sales process from the ground up alongside the current team. On January 2nd, you step fully into the Sales Manager role. How long the rep stage lasts depends on your hire date; what matters is that when you take the reins on January 2nd, you are ready. You will be responsible for a team of 4-8 sales representatives, reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with Operations and Marketing.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4-8 direct-to-consumer sales representatives Monitor individual and team performance against monthly unit volume and close rate goals Conduct regular 1-on-1s, pipeline reviews, and team training sessions Own the sales pipeline — ensure every lead is worked with urgency, consistency, and documentation Support plant tour operations — tours are completed locally at our Hohenwald facility Facilitate field visits — connecting prospective buyers with current Oliver owners when a buyer requests it Represent OTTSI at RV shows, industry events, and owner rallies — travel required as needed Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Marketing on lead quality, volume, and campaign feedback Report regularly to the Operations Manager on team performance, pipeline health, and coaching actions Recruit and onboard new sales talent as the team continues to grow toward 8 representatives Build a team culture of accountability, urgency, follow-through, and genuine customer care

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR
    Required:
3+ years in a sales leadership or senior sales role — automotive, RV, marine, powersports, or premium consumer goods Proven track record of hitting personal sales targets and developing others to do the same Experience managing or mentoring a sales team in a direct, relationship-driven sales environment Strong coaching instincts — you can identify what a rep is doing wrong and know how to fix it Comfortable working in a lead-based CRM — disciplined about follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and documentation A genuine closer — you lead from the front, not from the sidelines Excellent communication skills — our buyers are investing $60K-$125K in a premium, handcrafted product Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for RV shows, events, and owner rallies as needed Preferred (not required): Background in automotive sales or sales management — where customer experience, product quality, and relationship are the primary differentiators Experience in premium or luxury product sales where the buyer researches thoroughly before reaching out Familiarity with direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales models — selling direct without a dealer network Experience scaling a small sales team from 4 to 8+ representatives A note on RV industry experience: We are a different kind of RV company — not a dealership, not a franchise, not a traditional manufacturer's rep model. Candidates with automotive or premium consumer goods backgrounds often transition very well to our environment and sometimes bring a fresh perspective that traditional RV industry experience does not. We are genuinely open to strong candidates from outside the RV industry.
    WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
This is not a traditional dealership role. We do not have a lot full of trailers and walk-in traffic. Our buyers find us, research us, and reach out when they are ready. Field visits connect prospective buyers with current Oliver owners — they are customer-requested experiences, not cold outreach or prospecting. Plant tours are our primary in-person touchpoint and are completed locally at our Hohenwald facility. You will not be traveling to close deals. This is not a high-pressure sales floor. We sell a premium, handcrafted product. The sale is won by knowledge, relationship, and follow-through — not pressure tactics. This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. You will be in the pipeline, at events, and alongside your team.
    HOW TO APPLY
Apply directly through Indeed. Please include your resume and a brief note — 2 to 3 sentences describing a sales team you are proud of. Tell us what the challenge was, what you did, and what the outcome was. We read every application personally.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR PROCESS
Step 1 — Phone screen (20 minutes). We want to understand your background and what you are looking for. Step 2 — In-person visit to our Hohenwald facility. You will see the product, walk the production floor, tour the plant, and meet the team. This is important — we want you to see exactly what you would be selling and who you would be working with. Step 3 — Offer and references. Oliver Travel Trailers is an equal opportunity employer. We are building something great in Hohenwald, Tennessee. We hope you will be part of it.
